Brad Hood

Brad grew up with parents who were contractors and his earliest childhood memories include playing with leftover wood on construction sites.

He’s always enjoyed the challenge of designing and building unusual projects so it’s no surprise he became a superintendent and gravitated towards carpentry as a career.

Brad remembers his first project with the Armfield team ten years ago–a 1929 craftsman home in Santa Monica. Renovated with incredible attention to period detail, this project set the standard for the next decade. Brad loves building and remodeling homes on the Southern California coast for the obvious reasons but also feels lucky to work with clients who value his creativity. Like many of his colleagues at Armfield, Brad is an avid surfer which he believes creates a common bond and passion to preserve the nearby marine environment.

When he isn’t working, Brad enjoys camping, hiking and off-roading with his son. In 2001, he was a member of the World Champion United States Parachute Team and had the opportunity to travel the world competing.
