West Winding Way is a custom-built Mediterranean estate located in Malibu. Attention was paid to every detail throughout the home such as, hand-painted tiles and genuine reproductions of ancient wrought iron. Picturesque ocean views were emphasized with open room designs coupled with windows and doors that allow for a strategic use of natural light. The dark ceiling and hardwood floors provided a dramatic contrast to the rest of the home and added to the Mediterranean feel. Armfield partnered with the clients and famous Malibu architect, Doug Burdge, on details from hardware to interior colors. The collaboration was a success and enjoyable for all.
